The Knoxville Underground Comedy Show is the hottest, newest stand-up comedy open mic in Knoxville. It’s held every other Wednesday at Prince’s Deli & Sports Bar. Recently, Salad Days TV & Hot Shoe Studio went out to catch all the action as some of our pals took to the stage. We also had the pleasure of meeting lots of new folks that night. Stay tuned. Dragon Con 2010 took place in Atlanta, GA this past September. This was my first time at the Con and I don’t honestly know that I would have gone without the insistent of Salad Days & Clound 9 Productions. I must say that I didn’t know what to expect; Sci-Fi isn’t exactly my thing. However, it turned out to be an amazing event and well worth the standing in line for hours to get tickets. This is one of my favorite shots taken at DragonCon 2010 in Atlanta, GA. DragonCon is a large multi-media, pop culture and sci-fi convention and, as you can imagine, there are some interesting things to photograph. But my favorite moment came when the convention rounded up all the attendees dressed in super hero costumes on the roof to attempt a Guinness World Record for most super heroes ever photographed. This shot was the result of a gang of caped crusaders plotting their stances for their photographs atop one of downtown Atlanta’s tallest hotels. [..]

This was a fun session of dress up designed to focus not on the model or even the clothing but on the textiles. I love the contrast of the dark face against the finely woven thread of the hat. The pearls peaking out from around the neck mimic the pattern of the hat and provide another subtle layer of texture. [..]
